Far East. An original member of family Araceae. In flowering time the spathe looks like a big shell standing on the ground. Leaves appear later. The seeds are champions of size and reach 1 cm across. The sees germinate after two winter stratification. Able to grow in one place for many years they come to flowering since sowing after 6-7 year.
